Mission Statement: To spread the word about the enjoyment of wild birds and nature and in doing so raising awareness of the importance of protecting these wonderful creatures and the habitats in which they live. Also, to have fun talking about birds.

Biography: Chris Bosak is the co-managing editor of The Hour newspaper and has written a weekly birdwatching column "For the Birds" for the last 12 years. He is also a passionate nature photographer and a photo taken by himself accompanies each column, of which there have been more than 600. His column also runs weekly in The Keene Sentinel in southwestern New Hampshire. He founded Bird Calls Radio in March 2011.

Chris was born in Pittsburgh, Penn., and grew up in Maine and upstate New York before settling in northwestern Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Chris lived in Vermont and New Hampshire before settling in Fairfield County Connecticut.

His interest in wildlife bloomed while living in Vermont after he saw a "Moose Crossing" sign. It became his mission to find a moose in the wild and he spent hours upon hours in the wood searching for one. The time in the woods eventually fostered an interest, and soon an obsession, in birds.
