Writer, radio host, and social media celebrity Kate Schlientz has over ten years experience in the publishing industry. In 2013, she launched IntoxiKate.com, a website committed to introducing fellow foodies to the best food, events and restaurants in and around Westchester County (NY). Shortly after its launch, IntoxiKate became a vehicle for food events, connecting restaurants and chefs with diners in new, innovative ways.
Kate’s work has appeared in several publications, including Woman’s World Magazine, Westchester Magazine, The Journal News, InTown Westchester, Rockland Magazine, The Bridal Book, AKC Gazette, and Family Dog in both editorial and design capacities. She was previously the author of two blogs: Single in the Suburbs (for the Journal News/LoHud.com) and Katie Eats A Lot (a food blog dedicated to single living).
Kate is the president of CommuniKate Media (formerly SophistiKate Design), where she combines her journalism, marketing and design skills to help both small and large business clients reach their specific audiences. When she's not eating, she serves a an adjunct professor at Iona College (New Rochelle), teaching public relations, marketing, and social media to graduate students.
